Steve,

This podcast kicked a$$ on the audio. I have a little Mini Cooper S with an H/K Audio system. I had the sub-roof open and the wind whistling alont with the sound as I listening to it on my drive home. It felt like I was right there. I really enjoy when you put the listeners there in the seat with you. You have had some nice opportunities to pursue some wicked cool parts of aviation. Thanks for sharing that with the rest of us.

A belated congrats on the instrument rating. Great work! I have been listening to all of the podcasts in reverse order over the past 3 months, so I am actually going back in time with you. Just a note, you sounded more like a Radio guy in the early podcasts. I think the more natural sounding voice you have now probably comes from confidence with the gear and confidence in the subject. I dig it either way. When you get excited I can hear it in your voice and I get amped up with you. I can't believe PRI hasn't picked up an episode or two for, "This American Life".

Your podcast has done more for my aviation vocabulary than any book could have done. When I sit down at the CAP meeting or drink coffee and hanger-fly on the cloudy Saturday mornings with the pilots hanging around the flight school, I suddenly sound like I have half-a-clue as to what is going on. Still, I have a mountain of stuff to learn, but your podcast has done me good in lots of ways.

Just to give you some feedback. I listened to pretty much every possible form of aviation podcast when I first started, but here some months into training I have settled on just three favorites : Your excellent Airspeed podcast, the Finer Points and Uncontrolled Airspace. You guys are putting out some quality stuff and I know I really appreciate it.

Regards,

Student Pilot Rick
Houston, Texas

Current Logbook:
70 landings
13.0 flight hours
