It was also a day like you describe. I could hear the sailplane pilots down by Ionia talking about the lift as I was bouncing my way merrily along at 3000 feet. Even with the light wing loading of the Debonair/Bonanza it handles the bumps pretty well, it’s unlikely this would have been a good day for a first timers ride. <:-)) I was gently reminded again as the wheels were just about to touch down when I felt and saw the presence of some unexpected lift which left as quickly as it arrived, depositing me unceremoniously in an "arrival" instead of a "greaser". I had made the common mistake of relaxing before the plane was parked.

I've got some 36" cherry logs that need splitting & some Sammy Adams with your name on them. You'd be good & sore for weeks. Plus, the field has +20" of snow, with about 3' on the berm. You know, lock the Z-71 in 4×4 high, spool up the Hyper chip, K&N'd 5.7 LT-1 to 5800 rpm in 2nd gear, and do the Duke boys off the berm @ 65 mph.

It goes "poof"! Who says only you and Denny can fly? lol…
